School Days

Once again, rectangles were required, and color was meant to be used to create an illusion of depth.

Of the three designs, this one took me the longest, even though it is in most ways the simplest.  I increased/decreased saturation and brightness in each step, but not uniformly - at the extremes, uniform steps end up looking too similar.  I kind of like this one, simple as it is; I find the colors pleasant and soothing, and I like the symmetry of it.
